We have temporarily halted our coronavirus antibody testing service, but you can get tested for coronavirus antibodies with Superdrug Health Clinics.

|Coronavirus Antibody Testing Service||1 Lab Test|
Dispensing and standard delivery included.
This service allows you to see if you have had coronavirus by testing your blood for the presence of COVID-19 antibodies.
You’ll be sent a blood collection pack that allows you to take a pin-prick sample of your blood at home. You then send the sample to the lab using the prepaid envelope included in the pack.
The lab will analyse your sample, and our doctors will then review the results and send them directly to your account.
Our partner lab tests your blood sample for coronavirus antibodies. Antibodies are something your body makes to help it recognise virus cells, so that your immune system can fight an infection.
How long does it take to get my results?
The results of your lab test should be ready within 2 days after our partner lab receives your sample. When your results are ready, a message will be sent to your account.
If you currently have coronavirus symptoms, or you’ve had them recently, you need to wait at least 14 days after the symptoms start before you take a sample.
If you’ve never had coronavirus symptoms you can still use this testing service. It’s possible that 40–80% of people who get a coronavirus infection have no symptoms at all, or else very mild ones. Whether you’ve had symptoms or not, this service can tell you if you have COVID-19 antibodies.
If you’re not sure it’s the right time to take your sample, message one of our doctors through your account and they will help.
Taking the sample is easy:
There are detailed instructions in your blood collection pack covering the steps above, but if you have any problems taking your sample then message us through your account.
You’ll be able to see your results in your account within 2 days after your sample reaches our partner lab. You will also get advice from one of our doctors on what your results mean.
Am I immune if my test is positive?
Whether antibodies mean immunity is still unclear. If you have antibodies, then it is thought that you might have some level of immunity to coronavirus. But without further research or conclusive data, we should assume it does not.
Research on past virus outbreaks has shown that even people with antibodies can get infected again within a year. If you do have immunity, it’s also not clear how long that immunity will last.
Our partner lab, The Doctors Laboratory (TDL), is currently reporting a sensitivity of 97.5% and specificity of 100% for the home sampling test using a capillary sample.
This means that:
